2. Pre-freeze Ice Packs
The cooling effect of ice packs depends on their freezing time. It is recommended to place the ice packs in the freezer at least 2-4 hours before use to ensure they are fully cooled. For situations requiring prolonged insulation, such as in high-temperature summer environments or long-distance transport, freezing the ice packs overnight ensures they maintain a consistently low temperature throughout lunch.

 

3. Proper Ice Pack Placement
The placement of ice packs directly affects the temperature distribution within the lunchbox. It's generally recommended to place ice packs on the top layer of the lunchbox or in direct contact with the food, as cold air sinks, effectively lowering the temperature around the food.
